Ranks real electricity plans against your actual daily usage, using pricing effective from 1 July 2026. Demand-charge plans excluded.
Upload your usage CSV. Hourly interval data (one row per hour, ISO timestamps) gives exact time-of-use costing; daily totals also work, using a typical load-shape estimate for time-of-use plans instead. If your controlled load usage is already included in this file's totals, you don't need a separate upload.
Upload the energex_plans_raw.json file produced by the fetch script. This has the full tariff detail needed for accurate time-of-use calculation.
So the results table can show how much better or worse other plans are, relative to what you're paying now with Alinta. Prefilled from your last bill — edit as needed.
Controlled load energy is assumed to already be included in your main usage file and main usage rate above, so the CL rate above is used only to show a rate comparison column — it isn't added into the cost total (that would double-count the energy). If your usage file includes a solar export column, entering your current feed-in rate here nets that credit out of your current plan's cost too, for a fair comparison. Leave the supply/usage fields blank to skip the comparison — the ranking of market plans will still work fine.
Alinta's own portal export combines controlled load into the same usage totals as your main meter — it isn't broken out separately. That means the CL rate above is only ever a daily charge comparison (c/day), never a validated energy-rate (c/kWh) comparison, since there's no way to isolate how many of those kWh were actually CL.
